I started out painting animals and pet portraits almost exclusively; however, after I moved Texas, I quickly found inspiration in the vibrant and lively culture of Fiesta San Antonio. As my artistic journey continued, I found a way to merge the Fiesta theme into my portraits! And this painting - The Cunning Canines of the Fiesta Court I- is not only one of my favorite paintings, but it is also a complete embodiment of the Fiesta spirit. Everything about it says Fiesta San Antonio to me - the vibrant colors, the display of traditional treats, the stockpile of cocktails, the broken cascarones littering the table and, of course, just the little bit of chaos and humor in the form of a dog sneaking up on the cake. This painting would be an amazing (and hilarious) addition to any kitchen, dining room, or San Antonio, Tx home!!
